Scratch Removal

FAST, AFFORDABLE, & CONVENIENT

From hard water stains on homes and commercial buildings to wiper arc scratches on your vehicle, our team can remove scratches and haze to restore complete visibility.

Not only are scratches in glass unsightly, but they actually weaken the window. Removing the scratches and polishing to optical clarity will restore visibility and strength to the glass. Windshield wiper arcs, as well as scratches in tempered glass – even the windows of buildings –can be removed quickly and safely. The process works on any glass! Stains from acid wash, hard water or runoff can easily be removed, and the window restored like new. Visit http://www.windowscratch.com for more information on our scratch removal process.

Do I have to bring the glass to you or do you come to me?
In most cases, SuperGlass provides mobile service to the vehicle or building. There are cases where the glass is not installed and we can restore the glass at our locations. Whichever is the most convenient for the customer is our preference.

How deep of a scratch can be removed without creating distortion?
A scratch that is deeper than 3/1000ths of an inch will generally show distortion from the removal. Scratches that are less than 1/1000th of an inch can usually be blended over a large area to avoid or minimize distortion.

Why do some of my windows have white staining on them and can that be removed?
Water buildup on the outside surface of the glass will cause staining from the mineral residue in the water that remains after the water evaporates. After constant build up the stains can appear white and obscure clear vision.

The stains can be removed and the clarity restored, by using light abrasives and rare earth polishes with polishing pads and power tools.

How can I estimate the cost of having a scratch, scuff or stain removed from my glass?
A SuperGlass Scratch Removal Specialist will examine the damage, measure the depth and area size of the damage, map the window and provide you with an estimate based on time and materials for each unique job.

Can scratches be removed from laminated plate glass?
Yes, the laminate is between the sheets of tempered glass. The scratches will appear on either the outside of the outdoor glass surface or on the surface of the indoor glass.

Does removing scratches from glass or acrylic make a mess? Can it be done indoors?
The entire work area is masked on floor, walls and ceiling. The masking material is absorbent on the surface and waterproof on the bottom. The masking material is taped directly to the floor, walls and ceiling using protective painter's tape. Many jobs are performed indoors in office suites and homes.

SuperGlass Windshield Repair came out to look at a rock chip in my BMW that I was told could not be repaired and I would have to have it replaced.  Lee came to my house and fixed the chip and I couldn't even see the repair.  Thank you Lee for saving me about $800.

Alex with SuperGlass Windshield Repair was so kind and professional.  I am an older gentleman and I don't see so great.  While he was fixing a rock chip on my Ford pickup, he noticed that I had another rock chip that I had not noticed and he fixed that one at no extra cost.  I very much appreciate his thoroughness.

SuperGlass Windshield Repair is great company.  I am a repeat customer.  I have had both Lee and Alex repair rock chips in my windshields, but today my daughter was getting ready to leave on a trip and she had a chip in her windshield.  Lee came right over and fied it so it wouldn't crack out on her.  Thank you Lee.
